Inspired by functional drinks from the Far East, Amierul Azrie founded Exco Global Trading in 2001. He adopted the formula of Red Bull Energy Drink and developed the unique marketing concept of Red Bull. In May 2001, Red Bull Energy Drink was sold for the very first time by Exco Global Trading in its home market Malaysia. This was not only the launch of a completely new product, in fact it was the birth of a totally new product category by Exco Global Trading. Today we supply in more than 65 countries and more than 35 million cans of Red Bull have been sold so far.
